Throughout his career Colin has been a key industry player focused on building companies and solutions where technology is aligned to true business needs. From the founding of Original Software in 1997, through its expansion into North America based on its rapidly expanding product suite, Colin has provided the leadership and vision to deliver continual and profitable growth driven by innovation.
As a result Original Software has been recognised by both its customers, Gartner and other industry analysts as a visionary, a company that has actually changed expectations. A passionate skier, tennis player and golfer, Colin confesses that these interests can create near crisis strains on his commitment to the cause of better software!
George was the first person Colin Armitage, CEO approached at the start of Original Software, recognising his ability to fully engage with customers based on his deep knowledge of software quality and agile methodologies reinforced by his large-scale development project experience within many areas of IT.
He has helped shaped the solutions Original offer today based on customer success and emerging market needs. An engineer by training, he previously served at a senior level at AIG and Osprey where he drove many innovations balanced against a formal ISO9001 quality environment.
He is a keen dinghy sailor, enthusiastic windsurfer and when on dry land will be found with a golf club in hand.
After graduating from Southampton University with a Mathematics degree, Stuart has worked in both commercial and a software house environment before joining Original in 1997.
Stuart held many roles across the organisation and now heads the Customer Services teams. A great problem solver and good facilitator, Stuart’s role requires him to work closely with the other teams across the organisation.
Stuart likes to spend his free time at home with his wife and five children. His hobbies include playing badminton, tennis and 5-a-side football, as well as watching shows such as 24, Heroes, CSI and West Wing. Stuart is also heavily involved with supporting activities at his local church.
Sara fulfills the key product management role at Original Software which comprises the twin challenges of building and expanding the product road map while ensuring that the aggressive release schedule is delivered with a high standard of quality.
She has the ability to see things from a user’s perspective and understand what they want to achieve, balanced against what is attainable from a technical perspective.
Sara has been able to fulfil her love of travel whilst employed at Original Software, visiting customers throughout Europe, America and Australasia.
John graduated in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and began his career as a systems control engineer in the chemical industry. Following this, his career became immersed in the design, development and delivery of large mission critical applications for companies like DuPont and i2 Technologies.
John is a regular industry speaker at events with a particular focus on the Oracle EBS market space while also maintaining Original’s relationships with their key accounts. As such he can be a fierce advocate for product change to ensure that we continue to deliver solutions that help our customers meet their objectives.
Tim Bower has the responsibility for managing Original Software’s global partner network and new business acquisition.
Tim is a regular speaker at industry events and conferences. With a career spanning 27 years in the Information Technology industry, Tim began his career as a developer growing in the field of testing and business systems. Software quality lies at the heart of Tim’s passion and his enthusiasm helps to communicate the real issues being faced by QA departments today.
As a thought leader within the testing community,Tim enjoys interacting with others on best practice, methods and solutions to improve the challenges for better software quality.
The newest member of the company leadership team, Mark brings a wealth of marketing experience and know-how to Original Software, partially from his previous roles at Cherwell Software and NelsonHall.
